Forrest Olson, CEOIn 1998, Mr. Olson took on the challenge of operating the Henderson County Rural Health Center in Henderson County Illinois. In this capacity, he oversaw there practice delivery sites, and was successful in expanding access to health care by opening a stand-alone dental site. In 2001 Mr. Olson further challenged himself by accepting the President and CEO position at the Central Counties Health Centers (CCHC), Inc. in Springfield, Illinois. While at CCHC he successfully facilitated a health care for the homeless program and several extensive expansion projects that resulted in an expansion of primary care from 5,000 organizational visits annually in 2001 to nearly 60,000 in 2010. Mr. Olson has developed a nationwide network of colleagues by being actively involved in state and national associations including serving on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC), founding member of the Health Care Advisory Board, National Health Service Corps certified interviewer, Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA) Federal Grant Reviewer, and National Health Care for the Homeless Council. Currently, Mr. Olson lives in Silver City with his wife and is an avid golfer. Ed Young, Chief Clinic AdministratorMr. Young has over thirty six years of management experience in various industries including medical, finance, insurance, sales, and customer support services. As a senior production manager, Mr. Young earned the Quality First Award for excellence in quality control and customer support in the year 2000. In 2003, as a member of the nursing department at Fort Bayard Medical Center, Mr. Young developed a number of quality tracking tools still in use. Mr. Young joined HMS as Quality Improvement and Safety Coordinator in 2005. In 2007, Mr. Young became the Chief Clinic Administrator with operational oversight of all HMS clinics. Mr. Young grew up in Los Alamos, NM and graduated from Eastern New Mexico University in 1972. He has lived in Silver City with his wife and two children (now grown) since 1974. Carmen Maynes, Community Organization and Development DirectorMs. Maynes has been Community and Organizational Development Director of Hidalgo Medical Services since 2007. She manages the Family Support Program and is in charge of community programs. She received a B.S. from New Mexico State University (NMSU) in 2005 and a Master’s degree in public health from the same university in 2007. Prior to coming to Hidalgo Medical Services, Ms. Maynes was a graduate research assistant at NMSU, a Women’s Health Education Assistant at Southern Area Health Education Center, and a Program Evaluation Assistant at The Wellness Coalition. Dani Richins, Human Resources DirectorA New Mexico native, Ms. Richins understands life in rural New Mexico. Originally from Gallup, New Mexico, she has spent the past 35 years in the Animas Valley. Ms. Richins joined HMS in October of 2003 with a background in Human Resources. Prior to her career at HMS, she was the Human Resources Manager at the local long term care facility. Ms. Richins has a passion for serving the underserved and is currently the Human Resources Director anda member of the Marketing Teamat HMS. |
