Hidalgo Medical Services provides a board range of comprehensive community preventive, medical, dental primary care services, as well as inpatient services including deliveries. Behavioral health services are under development at HMS and are focused on meeting the needs of our patients at the time of their primary medical or dental health visits.

Integrated into our medical services is the HMS Family Support Services program. Family support is a critical part of our overall effort to serve the community and our patients with comprehensive assistance.

Hidalgo Medical Services provides comprehensive primary health care services to the people of Grant and Hidalgo Counties in New Mexico. Primary care is defined as the first point of entry into the health care system for preventive and basic, non-emergency, diagnostic and treatment services. These services include admitting and following hospitalized patients in Silver City. We also provide prenatal care and delivery services.

HMS employs board-eligible and certified family practice physicians, certified physicians assistants and family nurse practitioners to serve our patients. Plans include adding pediatric care in the near future.

Hidalgo Medical Services has dental locations at our primary care clinics in Lordsburg and Silver City. Comprehensive preventive dental services are provided by licensed Dental Hygienists at both locations.

Hidalgo Medical Services provides selective mental health services within the context of existing networks of care in the two county region. Our services, available in Med Square and College St,  can be understood within three categories: Integrated Behavioral Health Care; Psychotherapy Services; and Preventive Care. All services are provided by licensed professionals within the mental health field (Social Workers, Counselors, Psychologists and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners).
