Hidalgo Medical Services provides a board range of comprehensive community preventive, medical, dental primary care services, as well as inpatient services including deliveries. Behavioral health services are under development at HMS and are focused on meeting the needs of our patients at the time of their primary medical or dental health visits.

Integrated into our medical services is the HMS Family Support Services program. Family support is a critical part of our overall effort to serve the community and our patients with comprehensive assistance.

All of HMS services have been developed in conjunction with formal government-sponsored community planning efforts. We have striven to respond to the highest areas of health care access concern by providing a full range of quality services to everyone regardless of their ability to pay for them.

HMS program development has been a result of the foresight of our Board of Directors and the leadership of our staff.

Program delivery is made possible by dedicated staff with a shared vison to deliver services to people who need it the most. Paying for these services, covering their cost in sparsely populated areas and areas with high concentrations of uninsured, is made possible with grants from the federal government including the Bureau of Primary Health Care and Center for Disease Control and Prevention and contract with the State of New Mexico such as with the Primary Care and Rural Health Bureau at the NM Department of Health, as well as support from local governments and foundations.
